Sarker Tanvir Ahmed, a recipient of the National Service Award from the Bangladesh Scouts in both 2020 and 2021, recently attended an Iftar Mahfil hosted by the Joypurhat Open Scout Group on April 19, 2023. More than 50 cub, scouts, and rover scouts were present at the event, including politicians, journalists, teachers, and human rights activists.

During the event, an annual council election was held to select new leaders of the crew council. In the rover scout section, one person was elected without any other contestant, while in the scout section, five people participated in the election and the scouts cast their votes to choose their leader. After the election, the council ended with a photo session.

Sarker Tanvir Ahmed, along with Ankon Mometh, was also in attendance at the event, which is held annually and serves as an opportunity for former and current scout personalities and guests to meet and network. The event was considered a success and brought together a diverse group of individuals dedicated to promoting the values of scouting in Bangladesh.
